Registration includes admission into all sessions, access to the Peabody Essex Museum, a trolley tour of Salem's architecture, morning coffee, a welcome reception, and lunch at the Hawthorne Hotel on Day 2.

Due to contract catering, those registering after November 12 may not be eligible to receive lunch on Saturday.

On-Line Registration - once you have registered on-line, please print your PayPal receipt and bring it with you to the conference where you will be checked in at the door. Also, please e-mail, with the following information: home address, institutional affiliation and phone number - we also need to know which day - Friday, Saturday, or Both - that you plan to attend.

The Hawthorne Hotel has set aside rooms for conference guests at the special rate of $99/night. Guests wishing to take advantage of this rate must reserve their rooms by October 27, 2010. Please note that the Hawthorne Hotel is booked on Thursday, November 18. Travel Information to Salem from Boston

  1. Subway/Commuter Rail from Logan Airport—Approximately $9.00-$13.00
    Take complimentary Logan Shuttle bus service to Airport "T" Station on the MBTA Blue Line.
    Take the Blue Line ($2) to State Street, transfer to the Orange Line to North Station. Take the
    Newburyport/Rockport line to Salem Depot ($7, 25-30 minutes). From Salem Depot, you may
    walk or take a taxi to the museum and hotel. For commuter rail schedules.
  2. Taxi from Logan Airport to museum or hotel—Approximately $45-50
  3. Logan Express Bus – Approximately $32.00
    Take Logan Express bus service to Peabody ($12), Route 1, at 164 Newbury Street. From Logan
    Express in Peabody, take taxi. About $20 for 1-2 people.

  4. Amtrak
    If you are arriving by Amtrak from New York or other points south, you will arrive at South
    Station. Travel to North Station via subway or taxi, then take commuter rail to Salem. (See
    option 1 for more information about the commuter rail.)
